EXHIBITIONS
It was only shown once in Whistler's lifetime, in a print dealer's show, by Hermann Wunderlich & Co., New York, in 1898 (). This impression, originally owned by Francis Seymour Haden, Sr (1818-1910), was bought from the show by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919). 16 After Whistler's death this same impression was exhibited in New York at the Grolier Club in 1904. 17

SALES & COLLECTORS
There are only two known impressions and both were acquired, probably as gifts, by family members. The impression owned by Francis Seymour Haden, Sr (1818-1910) was sold with his collection to H. Wunderlich & Co., New York, and bought in 1898 by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) (). The other was bequeathed by Joseph Whistler Revillon (1886-1955) to the University of Glasgow ().
