Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) bought an impression from Thomas Wilmer Dewing (1851-1938) in 1905 (). Bryan Lathrop (1844-1916) owned another (), which had certainly been handled by Wunderlich's (stock no. a 35407).
Another impression may have been sold by Whistler's sister-in-law, Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958), and was certainly handled by Colnaghi & Co. (stock nos. c3879 and c7456) before being acquired by Lessing Julius Rosenwald (1891-1971) ().
