State 1
There is no signature or inscription.
The composition is complete.
There is a blank margin along the right edge. The plate measured approximately 275 x 155mm.
State 2
The façade to right of the entrance to the palace at the end of the street has been darkened with fine regular shading in drypoint.
State 3
Signed with a butterfly at lower left.
A series of parallel horizontal lines are added in drypoint to left of centre above the etched clouds.
State 4
The plate has been cut down at the right. It now measured approximately 275 x 152mm.
In many impressions the drypoint prints lightly, and the clouds in the sky and the butterfly fade away almost completely.
State 4 (cancelled)
Cancelled with a grid of vertical and horizontal lines.
No impression from the cancelled plate has been located. It is known only from the cancelled copper plate.
