TECHNIQUE

There was considerable foul biting during the etching of the copper plate for Bald Eagle, as evidenced by dark patches and many small dots and flecks around the image area.

PRINTING

It is very rare. Only two impressions are known. Both were printed in black ink, one on ivory () and the other on cream laid paper ().
