There is no signature or inscription.
Two short curving parallel scratches, near the top of the second mast from the left, are conspicuous in some impressions () but not in others, possibly as a result of inking. In addition there are longer diagonal scratches at upper right that are clear on some impressions (, ) but appear to have worn or been rubbed down in later impressions (, ).
