Only one exhibition is recorded in Whistler's lifetime. Howard Mansfield (1849-1938) lent an impression - the only one recorded - to the exhibition organised by the Caxton Club in Chicago in 1900 (). 11

11: Chicago 1900 (cat. no. 319).

An impression - possibly the same one- was exhibited at the Grolier Club in New York in 1904 and at the Whistler Memorial Exhibition in London in 1905. 12

12: New York 1904a (cat. no. 102); London Mem. 1905 (cat. no. 371).

Howard Mansfield (1849-1938) owned an impression which has not been located. 13 It looks as if it was signed with a butterfly dating from about 1887 (). No other impressions have been located.

13: Mansfield 1909[more] (cat. no. 345).
