TECHNIQUE

Nothing is known about the technique used for The Garden Seat, Gray's Inn. However, the majority of Whistler's Gray's Inn plates were executed in pure etching, so this plate was probably etched.

PRINTING

Nothing is known about the printing. The word 'unfin', presumably meaning 'unfinished', was crossed out beside the title when it was listed by Beatrice Whistler (1857-1896). 5
