DESCRIPTION

A nude young woman stands turned slightly to the right and looking down, her right arm hanging by her side and her left arm slightly extended (no hand being shown). There are patches of shading in the background, particularly at upper right.

Not identified. Other studies of models at this time include Resting by the Stove [372], Model Stooping [362], 'Venus' (Nettie Pettigrew) [363] and The Fan [375].
