TECHNIQUE
It is in drypoint. The sole extant impression is printed with some burr in black ink. The shading immediately behind the figure is richly inked, and that further out, more lightly drawn and inked (

Only one impression () is known before cancellation. It was printed in black ink with light tone enhancing the shadows, on ivory laid paper taken from a book, with a countermark, possibly 'PD' - and with an old Latin inscription in pen on the verso.
