TECHNIQUE
It is lightly drawn in drypoint and printed with very little tone.
PRINTING
No impression are known from the plate before cancellation. It was published in an album of Cancelled Plates ('Cancelled Set') by The Fine Art Society, London, 1879. It is likely that the complete print-run was about 20. Impressions from the cancelled plate are usually printed in black ink on ivory or cream laid paper. Watermarks include the Strasbourg Lily (, ) and Van Gelder ().
