TECHNIQUE
This etching was unevenly bitten, with some lines quite deep and others very faint, which may be the reason the plate was left unfinished. A small, sketchy figure at lower left of the doorway -- and some diagonal and horizontal lines on either side of it -- are lightly drawn in drypoint.
