Hotel de Ville, Loches dates from 1888. After their marriage in August, James and Beatrice Whistler set off down the Loire valley, calling at Tours, Loches and Bourges. They visited Loches between about 15 October and November 1888.
Etchings done in Loches include Tour Saint Antoine, Loches [414], Mairie, Loches [413] and Chancellerie, Loches [411].
