Nude Reclining dates from about 1874.
The copper plate was made by Hughes & Kimber and is similar in size to the plates for several figure subjects (Florence Leyland [136], Sleeping Girl [127], The Desk [129]) that date from between 1873 and 1875, and some London plates (Steamboat Fleet, Chelsea [155], Wych Street, London [176] and Under Old Battersea Bridge [168]) that date from the later 1870s.
