It was never published. However, it can be considered related to Whistler's unpublished 'Renaissance Set'.
EXHIBITIONS
It was rarely exhibited. Impressions were shown after Whistler's death, in the comprehensive exhibition at the Grolier Club in New York in 1904 and at the Memorial Exhibition in London in 1905. 13

SALES & COLLECTORS
Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) bought an impression from H. Wunderlich & Co., New York, on 15 August 1891 (). 14 Whistler also sold an impression of 'Chateau de Verneuil, Touraine' to Wunderlich's in 1900 for £6.6.0, which may have been that acquired by Bryan Lathrop (1844-1916) () or Harry Brisbane Dick (1855-1916) (). 15
