Perambulator, King's Road was never published.
EXHIBITIONS
It was extremely rare and rarely exhibited. Impressions were shown in New York by the print dealers H. Wunderlich & Co. in 1898 and 1903. 9 It was also exhibited, after Whistler's death, in the comprehensive exhibition at the Grolier Club, New York, in 1904. 10 There is no record of exhibitions in Britain.

SALES & COLLECTORS
On 11 February
1888 Whistler sold an impression for £5.5.0 to the London print dealer, Thomas M. McLean (b. ca 1832). Another impression was sold through Wunderlich's of New York to Ross Revillon Winans (1850-1912) on 3 May 1888. 11
Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) bought an impression from Obach & Co. in London in 1902 (). Howard Mansfield (1849-1938) probably bought his impression from Wunderlich's (), for it has their account number ('a 26899') on the verso.
