Wych Street, London dates from 1877. One impression was signed and dated '1877' (). The first and second proofs of the first state were annotated by Whistler and signed with a butterfly dating from 1877 (, ). They were sold to Charles Augustus Howell (1840?-1890) on 15 November 1877. 1
