DESCRIPTION
Not known. Presumably it showed a small shop selling linen.
SITE
Iit was listed as a 'French Plate' and was probably done on the Whistlers' honeymoon in the Loire valley, possibly in Loches, Tours or Bruges.
DISCUSSION
It is not known why this was not printed, or if printed, the proofs were destroyed. It is possible that on his wife's death in 1896 Whistler destroyed some works associated with her.
