STATE
Four states are known before cancellation.
State 2
Diagonal drypoint lines are added within the doorway, at upper left; the space between the woman's feet is shaded; short drypoint lines are added to the shading in the area where the two walls meet, just to the left of and beneath the base of the oriel window.
State 3
The woman's feet, the shading between them and the hem of her dress are partly removed; the drypoint lines among the shading where the two walls meet are worn.
