PRINTING

There was only a small print-run of Justice Walk, Chelsea. The first state was printed in dark brown ink on thin ivory 'antique' (pre-1800) laid paper (Graphic with a link to impression #K2750109). The second state was printed in brown (Graphic with a link to impression #K2750202, Graphic with a link to impression #K2750203) or black ink (Graphic with a link to impression #K2750204) on ivory laid paper, with very light plate tone. All were trimmed to the platemark and signed on the tab with a butterfly and 'imp.' to show that Whistler had printed them.
