TECHNIQUE
It is pure etching, drawn with a mixture of wiry long lines, broken curving and hooked lines and patches of shading and zigzags, cross-hatched in the deepest shadows.
PRINTING
Shampoo Shop, St Martin's Lane is very rare. The first proof was printed in dark brown ink on ivory laid paper with the Arms of Amsterdam watermark (
