The bonnet on the head of the girl at the right is shaded, and her features are more distinct; the eyes and forehead of the child in the centre are shaded by her hat, her hair and hat brim are more detailed, and fine diagonal lines cross the earlier lines on her breast and shade her skirt to left; the leg of the girl at left is shaded with short diagonal lines; drypoint shading is added and extended between the two girls in the doorway.
