Dordrecht dates from 1886. The butterfly signature is consistent with this date.
Wedmore, who catalogued the etching in 1886, stated that it was 'Done in 1884', but this is incorrect, unless - and this is a possibility - it was started in 1884 and completed and signed in 1886. 1 Other etchings of Dordrecht include Little Dordrecht
