Signed with a butterfly at upper left.
Fine right to left diagonals (///) are added to the shading within the doorways; a small patch of slight diagonal shading is added to the lower centre pane in the fanlight above the right doorway.
One impression, reproduced below, is heavily touched with wash within the left window and both doorways.
State 3
Left to right diagonal shading (\\\) is added within both doorways; verticals are added to the panes in the fanlight above the right doorway; the outlines and facial features of most figures are reinforced or further defined; many fine plate scratches and some pitting are visible throughout the image.
