Three states are known before cancellation.

State 1

Impression: K1750101
There is no signature or inscription.
There is no shading on the hull of the second barge of the group with the sails at left.

State 2

Impression: K1750104
Drypoint shading is added on the hull of the second sailing barge from left in the distance, and additional shading on the hull of the barge just to left of centre; drypoint is added to the top of the pole in the lower right foreground; light shading is added on the distant trees at left and in the sky above.

State 3

Impression: K1750209
Signed with a butterfly at upper left, over the church tower.
In late impressions, the butterfly in the sky is very faint, as is the drypoint shading on the second boat at left with a sail (i.e. Graphic with a link to impression #K1750102).
In this state, published by Messrs Hogarth & Son in London in 1879.
