STATE
Four states are known before cancellation.
State 2
The shadows of the tree at the right and in the foreground are augmented with short diagonal lines; slightly slanting lines are added to the foliage at upper left, near the left edge.
State 3
Signed with a butterfly at right, below the centre.
The far boundary of the field is defined and the distant trees are made higher, with more trees added in the centre; a building is suggested beyond the field at left; short diagonal and zigzag shading augments the shadows in the foreground; the grass or bushes behind the near trees are enhanced and extended with diagonal shading; more clusters of leaves are added on the upper branches of the near trees and some branches have been added or redrawn.
