SALES & COLLECTORS
A cancelled set owned by the print dealer Alphonse Wyatt Thibaudeau (ca 1840- d.1892) was sold at Sotheby's, London, 13 December 1889 (lot 787 or 789) to Robert Dunthorne (b. ca 1851), who exchanged it with Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958), who bequeathed it to the University of Glasgow ().
Impressions were also acquired with the cancelled set by the British Museum in 1887 (); by Thomas Glen Arthur (1858-1907) in the same year (); by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) from M. Knoedler & Co. in 1893 (); Alfred Beurdeley (1847-1919) (); George Aloysius Lucas (1824-1909) (); and Harris G. Whittemore (d. ca 1937) ().
