This is pure drypoint.
PRINTING
It was published in an album of Cancelled Plates ('Cancelled Set') by The Fine Art Society, London, 1879. There was probably a print-run of about 20 or 24 impressions from the cancelled plate. These were printed in black ink, mostly on ivory or cream laid paper. Some have a partial or whole 'Van Gelder' (
