PRINTING

It was published in an album of Cancelled Plates by The Fine Art Society in 1879. It is likely that 20 or 24 sets of the plates were published though not all have been located. This was printed in black ink, once on cream wove paper (Graphic with a link to impression #K1240207), and more usually on ivory or cream 'modern' (post-1800) laid paper, sometimes with the 'Van Gelder' (Graphic with a link to impression #K1240202) or Strasbourg Lily watermark (Graphic with a link to impression #K1240209).
