TECHNIQUE
A very delicate drypoint, barely possible to make out.
PRINTING
Only three impressions have been located. One was printed in black ink on cream laid paper, trimmed to the platemark and signed with a butterfly and 'imp.' to indicate Whistler printed it (). The other two are more pale, printed in brown ink on laid paper, one signed with a butterfly indicating a date of about 1886 (), and the other neither trimmed nor signed ().
