EXHIBITIONS

An impression was lent by Samuel Putnam Avery (1822-1904) to an exhibition at the Union League Club in New York in 1881 and to a show organised by the Caxton Club in Chicago in 1900 (Graphic with a link to impression #K1180101). 9

An impression was exhibited by H. Wunderlich & Co., in New York in 1898 and bought by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) (Graphic with a link to impression #K1180102). 10

After Whistler's death, Howard Mansfield (1849-1938) lent an impression to the Whistler Memorial exhibition held in Boston in 1904 (Graphic with a link to impression #K1180201). 11 Two impressions were also shown at the Grolier Club in New York in 1904 and one at the London Memorial Exhibition in 1905. 12
