Draped Model dates from 1873 or 1874. The butterfly signature is consistent with these dates.
Whistler may have written '1870 -' on one impression (). This date may have been added from memory but does seem too early, stylistically, for this print. The number, '80' (again, possibly by Whistler) is on another impression (). This cannot possibly have been the date it was drawn and is unlikely to have been the date it was printed since Whistler was in Venice most of the year.
