The copper plate has no maker's stamp and is unlike other plates in size. It was first published with the 'Thames Set' in 1871. It was cancelled with uneven vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines across the whole image.
The plate was acquired with other plates from the 'Thames Set' by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) in 1896 and bequeathed to the Freer Gallery of Art. 12
