It is difficult to date, having stylistic elements in common with other etchings over a decade, including The Little Pool
[83] (which is dated '1861' on the plate), Old Hungerford Bridge
[81] (which is not dated at all), and Chelsea Bridge and Church
[102] (which is said to date from 1871), all of which were published with Battersea Dawn (Cadogan Pier) in A Series of Sixteen Etchings of Scenes on the Thames (the 'Thames Set') in 1871.
