Impressions taken from this plate (24) |
The partial oval stamp of the makers, 'HUGHES & KIMBER . . . LONDON', is stamped on the verso of the copper plate. The plate is almost exactly the same size as the portrait of Seymour's brother, Little Arthur
[8].
The plate was steel-faced but not cancelled, and shows signs of damage. The plate was acquired by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) in 1906. It is now in the Freer Gallery of Art. 9
