This copper plate was completed back in Paris and printed by Auguste Delâtre (1822-1907) at 171 Rue St Jacques, Paris, in November 1858. It is a different size from any other copper plate.
The plate was steel-faced but not cancelled.

Many of the copper plates for the 'French Set', including this, were bought by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) in 1906 from Obach & Co. They are now in the Freer Gallery of Art. 13
