The copper plate has not been located. It started as 81 x 54 mm and was substantially reduced in size by Whistler, in the fourth state, to 57 x 48 mm.
Whistler rarely altered the size of his plates; in fact this is one of only three known examples, the others being St James's Street [178] and Sketch after Cecil Lawson's "Swan and Iris" [247].
