Print tone:Selectively wiped, with heavier tone over the bottom quarter of the image; with distinct vertical and curving horizontal wiping marks.  
Note on foul biting:The vertical scratches at right noted on the AIC impression are faint, but the short parallel diagonal scratches are prominent.  
Print note:Kennedy master; the series of short parallel lines at left and centre may be scratches or remnants of old or partly removed work; there are also faint horizontals at right and a number of spots at lower left; these lines and defects are visible on Kennedy's reproduction.
