Print note: | The pronounced tonal area with evidence of stopping out on the rightmost central palace has qualities of sugar/salt/sand ground or possibly lavis; the area above the leftmost doorway has a network of cracks (the result of crackled ground?) and the faint outline of a window, but these are less distinct than on 1952.545 and 1934.558; the plate signature may be the only use of drypoint; there are distinct scratches and/or burnishing marks and most corrosion near the top and bottom plate corners - which are clearly visible in other AIC impressions of Kennedy's II/III (1952.545 and 1934.558) - have been removed, some wear (and possible retouching?) is apparent in two dark, shaded doorways. |
