Print tone:Print tone is used in the foreground around the barges and pier, and to a lesser extent in the middleground water and sky.  
Note on foul biting:There is tightly regulated pitting around the figures, pier, barge and lettering to give shading and emphasis, possibly using imprint from scrim. There is a grip mark from a tool at the lower left corner.  
Print note:Wipe marks are evident in the foreground.
