Dewing, by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919), Detroit, MI (receipts, 7 amd 9 November 1898) ; bequeathed to the Freer Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, 1919.

Smith wrote in pencil, verso: K. 9; Martha Smith records the previous existence of inscriptions "S.H." in graphite and "Trial" in red pencil. Those notations were erased 1924.03.29.
