| Print tone: | There is a dark, uneven print tone. It is particularly dark above the doorway and upper right corner. The door and woman with child are wiped much more cleanly. There is a medium tone in the foreground and left edge. |
| Note on foul biting: | There is an area of foul biting at the lower edge and a mark from the grip of a tool at the right side. There is pitting around the doorway and an area where pitting affects the etched lines at the woman's feet. |
| Print note: | The etched lines on the door appear worn down, or at least the lines have not printed fully, perhaps because the lines are clogged on the plate (it is probably this rather than a fault of inking as it is not only this impression that is affected). There is a mottled effect from wiping and slight reticulation of ink at the right side. There are scratch marks from wiping particularly in the upper section. |
