James Cox-Cox, of Invertrossachs, Callander, was a wealthy print collector.

Life:

Cox-Cox lent 46 Whistler etchings to the International Exhibition at Glasgow Art Galleries in 1901, comprising largely Venice etchings in addition to The Kitchen (K24), Whistler's Portrait (K54), Annie Haden (K62), Rotherhithe (K66), Lord Wolseley (K164), Battersea Bridge (K177), Temple (K234), Lobster Pots (K235), Little Court (K236) and Drury Lane (K237).
