STATE

Two states are known before cancellation.

State 1

Etching: K1560103
There is no signature or inscription.
Between the landing-stage and the nearest boat are parallel lines, and above the boat are three groups of short vertical lines.

State 2

Etching: K1560202
The upper rail of a steamer at left has been almost entirely removed and replaced with lighter lines, giving it a more rounded prow; a rectangular structure in the centre is reduced in width, and a small space is burnished out between the next ship to right and the warehouse above; the reflections of the ships are extended; sweeping horizontal lines are added in the sky; the three groups of vertical lines at right are extended to suggest tall chimneys; fine vertical lines shade the space between the warehouse roofs and chimneys and along the far side of the river, as far as the bridge; more shading is added on the ship in front of the bridge at right.

State 2 (cancelled)

Etching: K1560303
The plate was cancelled with crossed diagonal lines.
