Nude Reclining dates from about 1874.
The copper plate was made by Hughes & Kimber and is similar in size to the plates for several figure subjects (Florence Leyland 136, Sleeping Girl 127, The Desk 129) that date from between 1873 and 1875, and some London plates (Steamboat Fleet, Chelsea 155, Wych Street, London 176 and Under Old Battersea Bridge 168) that date from the later 1870s.
