State 2

Short horizontal lines at the left extend along the contour of the lady's figure.
The edge of the muff at lower right is slightly rubbed down; short right to left diagonals (///) shade the muff below her right hand; diagonal shading is added in the background at right and extended down to her skirt; left to right diagonal and also vertical lines are added along the left edge of the plate; two distinct left to right diagonals are added at the lower right corner.

State 3

Etching: K1130204
Signed with a butterfly at the right edge, below centre.
A rounded shape has been burnished out and the butterfly drawn on this at right; fine lines are added in the shading at the right; fine horizontal shading is extended in the background at lower left.

State 4

Etching: K1130305
Short slanting lines darken the background at the left near the elbow, and at upper right; short diagonal lines are added in the shading, each side of the figure.
