Print note:The paper and ink colour (cool black) are unlike those used by Whistler at the time; it is unsigned; and compared to NGA 1949.5.267, it is over-inked, which makes the etched lines 'punchier' but accentuates the scratches on the plate; note also the problem with printing that led to the split platemark.
