Print note:The pronounced tonal area with evidence of stopping out on the rightmost central palace has the qualities of sugar/salt/sand ground or possibly lavis; new tonal areas added after the removal of the plate butterfly signature seem more regular (lavis?) and include wall above and water below shaded gondolas, roofs of central and right palaces, sky above and top storey just below roof of central palace and edge of left wall of rightmost palace; some wear (and possible retouching?) apparent in two dark, shaded doorways; printed with very light plate tone. State: note additions of tonal passage. Watermark: same as 1938.1912, another AIC impression of Kennedy's III/III
