Joshua Hutchinson Hutchinson (ca 1829 - d. 1891); returned to Whistler for signature; sold at Sotheby's, London, 3 March 1892 (lot 322), bought by Deprez, £0.16.0. Bought by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919), Detroit, MI, 1903; bequeathed to the Freer Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, 1919.
