Print note:There is considerable work in black crayon, including shading around the figure's left arm and hand and the post or end of the ledge, shading beneath the ledge and the butterfly signature; there is white gouache on the hat, the outline of the face and lips, the ruffle at the figure's neck, over the shading on her bodice, on her left and right hands and on the front edge of her coat; note the very heavy drypoint lines on the hat, outline of the coat and skirt and some folds of drapery.
