Provenance:Published in a cancelled set of etchings by the Fine Art Society, London, 1879. Acquired by Whistler's executrix, Miss Rosalind Birnie Philip, trimmed and stuck on the envelope containing the copperplate; given by her to the University of Glasgow, 1935.
